These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of cat care services provided by Caversham Kitties (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the client (“you”, “your”). By booking our Caversham cat sitting services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
We offer comprehensive cat care services, including feeding, litter tray cleaning, grooming, playing, administering medication (if agreed in advance), and general welfare checks for your feline friends. As a trusted cat sitter in Caversham, we ensure your cat receives the best care while you're away.
Time of visits
Morning visits for our Caversham cat sitting services take place between 7am and 11am from Monday to Sunday. Lunchtime visits occur between 12pm and 2pm Monday to Friday, while evening visits are scheduled between 4pm and 8pm all week. During busy periods, we reserve the right to adjust these timings accordingly. Unless your cat requires time-sensitive medication, such as insulin injections, visits will be conducted at any point within these timeframes. We will strive to accommodate any requests for specific times, but please understand that during peak times, this may not always be possible.
Cleaning
During our visits, we will endeavor to keep your home as tidy as possible and will aim to clean up any spillages or mess created by ourselves or your cat. Please ensure that suitable non-toxic cleaning products and supplies are easily accessible.
Use of timed/automatic feeders
If you require your cat to be regularly fed using a timed or automatic feeder, you must provide the feeder along with appropriate batteries or a power source. However, if for any reason I am unable to perform a visit, I will notify you in advance, typically at the time of booking, and can provide a timed feeder free of charge for the missed visit. You will not incur any charges for visits covered by the timed feeder.
Additional services
As part of our cat care services, we also offer additional services such as basic plant watering, curtain opening/closing, tidying of post, and putting bins out, which are provided as a courtesy and are not covered under our insurance.
Plant watering - The watering of gardens during warm weather will only be offered if sufficient time remains after your cat's needs have been adequately met. We cannot be held responsible if any plants are damaged or die during the duration of our visits.
Bin collection - If you require bins to be put out for collection, please ensure they are accessible, or provide access to gates/sheds. Let us know before the first visit which day your bin is collected so we can ensure it is put out in a timely manner. We will not be liable for any bins that go missing during the visit.
Post/deliveries - We will tidy your post to prevent it from accumulating in an external box or by your door. We are happy to bring inside any reasonably sized deliveries, unless they are too heavy to lift safely. We will inform you of any deliveries received and where we have placed them inside your house. However, if any deliveries or post arrive damaged, we will notify you, but we cannot be held responsible for any damage to deliveries or post.
All bookings for our cat care services must be confirmed in writing (email or messaging) no less than 24 hours prior to the start of the first visit.
Charges for our cat sitting services in Caversham are (as of 01/09/2024):
Single visit (AM or PM) - £12
Double visit (AM and PM) - £20
Triple visit (AM, lunchtime, and PM - Mon-Fri only) - £27
Visits last up to 30 minutes. We reserve the right to end the visit early if the cat leaves the property (if an outdoor cat); is visibly stressed with us being in the property; or if the cat becomes aggressive. Longer visits are available for cats who enjoy extra attention, but these are charged extra. Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like a longer visit.
Payment can be made via bank transfer, PayPal, or cash.
The balance is due no later than 30 days after the last visit unless otherwise agreed.
Any charges incurred during the duration of the visits, including but not limited to parking, purchasing of extra food/litter, etc., will be added to your final bill.
While we do not have a formal cancellation policy for our cat care services, we kindly ask that you be mindful when making your bookings. If you need to cancel or return early, please provide us with as much notice as possible. Remember, no refunds will be issued after payment, and payment must be made in full no more than 30 days after the final visit, whether you are using our cat sitter in Caversham or our Caversham cat sitting services.
You are responsible for providing access (e.g., keys or keycodes) in advance of the booking for our cat care services. Keys will be securely stored and returned after the service ends, unless otherwise agreed. We are not liable for any issues arising from defective locks, alarms, or home security systems. If visitors, cleaners, or other tradespeople are expected to visit your property during the duration of the booking, please make us aware prior to the start of the visits. It is your responsibility to ensure any visitors to your property understand that our cat sitter in Caversham will be visiting and to inform them of any safety measures regarding the cat, such as not letting them outside. We will not be held responsible for any issues arising due to the negligence of visitors, cleaners, or tradespeople during the Caversham cat sitting service.
You must inform us of any medical conditions, behavioral issues, or special requirements prior to the start of each booking for our cat care services. Pets must be up-to-date with all relevant flea and worming treatments before the beginning of your booking. If a treatment date falls during the booking, please let us know, and we will gladly administer this on your behalf.
It is your responsibility to ensure there is an adequate stock of any medications to cover the duration of the booking. Please also ensure that adequate carriers for transportation are provided and easily accessible.
In the event of an emergency, we will contact your designated vet and/or the emergency contact provided. If they are unavailable, we reserve the right to act in the best interest of your cat. You are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred during the period of care.
For our cat sitter Caversham services, we charge £12 per 30 minutes to take your cat to the vets, which includes travel time. These charges will be added to your final bill for Caversham cat sitting.
While all reasonable care will be taken, we cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, illness, or death of your cat(s) unless caused by our negligence. Our cat care services are insured, but we encourage you to maintain your own pet insurance for added peace of mind. If you have visitors, cleaners, or other tradespeople at your property during our visits, we will not be held liable for any security issues arising, unless directly caused by our negligence. We may send you photos, videos, and updates about our cat care services unless you request otherwise. With your permission, photos may be used for marketing purposes, such as on social media or our website, especially for our Caversham cat sitting services and cat sitter Caversham.
All personal data collected through our cat care services is handled in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, including those related to our cat care services. Any changes will be communicated and will not affect existing bookings for our cat sitter Caversham services unless legally required.
