We are now fully booked for July & August 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of cat-sitting services provided by Caversham Kitties (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the client (“you”, “your”). By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions
We offer cat-sitting services which may include feeding, litter tray cleaning, grooming, playing, administering medication (if agreed in advance), and general welfare checks.
Time of visits
Morning visits take place between 7am and 11am Monday to Sunday. Lunchtime visits take place between 12pm and 2pm Monday to Friday. Evening visits take place between 4pm and 8pm Monday to Sunday. During busy periods, we reserve the right to adjust these timings accordingly. Unless your cat requires time-sensitive medication, such as insulin injections, visits will take place at any point within these timeframes. We will take care to meet any requests for specific times, but during busy periods this may not be possible.
Cleaning
We will endeavour to keep your house as tidy as possible during our visits, and will aim to clean up any spillages or mess caused by ourselves or the cat during the visits. Please ensure suitable non-toxic cleaning products and paraphernalia are easily accessible.
Use of timed/automatic feeders
If you require your cat to be regularly fed via a timed or automatic feeder, you must provide this and appropriate batteries/power source. However, if for whatever reason I am not able to perform a visit, I will notify you in advance, usually at the time of booking, and I can provide a timed feeder free of charge to cover the visit that I cannot attend. You will not be charged for visits covered by a timed feeder.
Additional services
Additional services, such a basic plant watering, curtain opening/closing, tidying of post, and putting bins out, are offered as a courtesy and are not covered under our insurance.
All bookings must be confirmed in writing (email or messaging) no less than 24 hours prior to the start of the first visit.
Charges for our services are (as of 01/09/2024):
Visits last up to 30mins. We reserve the right to end the visit early if the cat leaves the property (if an outdoor cat); is visibly stressed with us being in the property; or if the cat becomes aggressive. Longer visits are available for cats who like extra attention, but these are charged extra. Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like a longer visit.
Payment can be made via bank transfer, PayPal or cash.
The balance is due no later than 30 days after the last visit unless otherwise agreed.
Any charges incurred during the duration of the visits, including but not limited to parking, purchasing of extra food/litter etc, will be added onto your final bill.
While we have no formal cancellation policy, please be mindful when making your bookings, and please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or return early.
No refunds will be issued following payment, and payment must be made in full no more than 30 days after the final visit.
You are responsible for providing access (e.g., keys or keycodes) in advance of the booking.
Keys will be securely stored and returned after the service ends, unless otherwise agreed.
We are not liable for any issues arising from defective locks, alarms, or home security systems.
If visitors, cleaners or other tradespeople are expected to visit your property during the duration of the booking, please make us aware prior to the start of the visits. It is your responsibility to ensure any visitors to your property are aware that we will be visiting, and to ensure they are aware of any safety measures regarding the cat, e.g not to let them outside etc. We will not be held responsible for any issues arising due to negligence of visitors, cleaners or tradespeople.
You must inform us of any medical conditions, behavioural issues, or special requirements prior to the start of each booking.
Pets must be up-to-date with all relevant flea and worming treatments prior to the start of the booking. If a treatment date falls during the booking, please let us know and we will happily administer this on your behalf.
It is your responsibility to ensure there is an adequate stock of any medications to cover the duration of the booking.
Please ensure adequate carriers for transportation are provided and easily accessible.
In the event of an emergency, we will contact your designated vet and/or the emergency contact provided. If unavailable, we reserve the right to act in the best interest of the cat.
You are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred during the period of care.
We charge £12 per 30mins to take your cat to the vets, which includes travel time. These charges will be added onto your final bill.
While all reasonable care will be taken, we cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, illness, or death of your cat(s) unless caused by our negligence.
We are insured for pet sitting services, but you are encouraged to maintain your own pet insurance.
If you have visitors, cleaners or other tradespeople visiting your property during the duration of our visits, we will not be held liable for any issues arising from the security of your property unless directly caused by our negligence.
We may send you photos, videos and updates unless you request otherwise.
With your permission, photos may be used for marketing (social media, website).
All personal data collected is handled in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018. Your information will never be shared without your consent.
